Watch for the 2012 MQHYA World Show Team!!!!!

Greetings from the Montana Quarter Horse Youth Association

We are currently an association with close to 100 members involved, all sharing one common thing the love of the American Quarter Horse, whether you a horse owner or not.  We strive to promote the Quarter Horse in Montana through many different ways; showing, trail riding, breeding, barrel racing, and team roping to name a few.

Once you choose to become a member of this exciting association you will start receiving the Wrangler our monthly newsletter where you can find current events and up to date news for both the MQHA and the MQHYA.

If you choose to become involved in one of the many programs AQHA offer such as the hours on horseback, you may find the link from this web site or go directly to AQHA to find more information on this and other programs.

As a member of this association you will have the opportunity to attend a fall clinic and spring clinic. The association brings in highly recognized clinicians and each clinic focuses on something different. All the clinics are weekend long starting on Friday afternoons and finishing Sunday late afternoon.  At the clinics participants receive hands on instruction, many hours on horseback and an educational seminar. These weekends provide new members and existing members an opportunity to get to know each other and develop great friendships. Remember MQHYA sponsors, these fun filled weekends for you to gain new skills, learn to understand your equine companion and develop new friendships.

We do have fundraising activities most of them are held at the annual convention or youth horse show.  Some of the fundraisers are the silent auction, paid trail warm up, shavings sales, game night at the show and apparel sales. Of course all the revenue from the annual Youth Stampede Show go directly to the youth association.

So please take a moment and download the membership application and come join the fun! I look forward to meeting you at one of the clinics, our annual convention, trail rides or at one of the shows.  If you do have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask, my contact information is provided below.
